Door feature is terrible design

I had this delivered to match the washer we purchased when my other dryer quit. The door feature touted is right at my knee level where I banged my knee trying to load clothes into the dryer, because of the door sticking out and being taller and bending way over to reach the clothes in the back of the dryer I cut myself on the door latch of this dryer! Terrible design, clean your floor and you shouldn't have to worry about clothes Falling on it. I called the company to take it back and get me one that's useable.

What is it doing

I've had my dryer for 1yr and 2 months now. One thing I can't figure out is why does it stop & start up. What I mean is, I'll set it to dry towels on normal. The display reads 52 min to dry. With 48 min left the dryer stops for about 5 minutes then starts up for 3 seconds. It does this for hours until I turn the dryer off. I'll reset it again and it does the same thing. It does it no matter what I'm drying and no matter the amount of time that displays. It's only me in my household and I wash about every 2 weeks.

My old dryer that I've had since 1995 died on me in August of this year. It never needed any repairs and it suited my purposes. So after it fizzled out it there was only one thing left to do. Get a new one. I love the light inside and the door opening downwards. My clothes aren't falling on the floor and no clothes are left in the dryer because I can see them. I love all the features. I also love it because it's a Whirlpool and a brand that I trust, it's like inviting a old friend into my home! I'm very happy with my purchase.

It is noisy as I am used to my former Bosch washer which is so quiet.i cannot buy Bosch as they do not manufacture normal size washer and dryers anymore. They are apt. sizes mostly for walk in closets or 2nd floors houses so they can be stackable. The agitation and spinning cycles are loud when you do larger loads like towels and beddings. We have to close our laundry room door.

Good size, not good at drying

The lint filter is inside!!

I like the idea that the lint filter is inside the door, not on the top of the unit. I also like that the door open "down", it does not swing "out". I had a Whirlpool HE set, before this set. I especially like the "touch" features. I'm really glad that I bought this new set!!!

However, that being said it sounds like a jet plane taking off and feels like materials cheap. NEVER WORKED & NOTHING BUT DELAYS FROM WHIRLPOOL

I bought this dryer about a month ago, it ran for maybe 5 minutes then stopped working. At which point I called Whirlpool they scheduled a service call, which took place over a week later. They had to order a new DRIVER MOTOR and DRIVER PULLEY for the brand new dryer. It took two weeks for them to get parts and an additional week after to schedule the return visit to install. As it stands it will be one month before the new parts a installed and a month since purchase with a dryer that does not work. Every call to Whirlpool I have been told oh we are so sorry, but you have to wait because its under warranty. So I'm stuck with a lemon and no dryer while I go through the process of them replacing major parts to get the lemon to work. oh they offered an additional year of warranty service, ha, guess that means they have 4 years to get it to work before they can tell me it's out of warranty.

Great Size and quiet

just started using this 2 weeks ago and really like it.. besides the size and quietness like the door opening down so it's not swinging like other dryer doors.

Large drum for drying big loads. Numerous options

It has been an good dryer. Have had a few things to get used to that were different options on previous dryer and not this one. Two weeks after it was installed the switch that tells the dryer that the door is closed broke off. I feel this was poor placement of the switch. The other option that frustrates me is that I can not prolong the timed dry due to the dryer sensing that the load is dry when there are still some slightly damp pieces of clothing. It will just take some time for adjustment on my part.

Love This Dryer!

I have been using my new dryer for three (3) months now and I love it. I am so glad I opted to replace the dryer along with my washer. Both appliances play such happy tunes when the cycles have completed.

Confusing controls.

Control panel is very difficult to get the hang of. Wish we went with the older manual type control knob.

Good dryer

Good dryer. Bought it because our old washer quit and my wife HAD to have a matching pair. So, a new washer and dryer. Only problem is that a lot of lint gets by the filter and clogs the outside vent screen. Haven't had time to scope that out yet. Could be op err.
